What I’m Building
TCG SaaS Web Product
A new platform for trading card game enthusiasts — a passion project since both my wife and I are avid TCG players. This is my first real test of scale-to-zero architecture using Azure Native Development techniques.
Blog Enhancement Project
Continuing to tweak the blog’s design and content strategy to better serve my audience. This includes improving the reading experience, adding more interactive elements, and experimenting with different content formats.
What I’m Trying Out
Scale to Zero Infrastructure
Implementing scale-to-zero architectures using Azure Container Apps, Azure Functions, and other serverless components to optimise costs for MVP SaaS products. I’m focused on understanding Azure-centric blueprints for this approach, which will inform other SaaS products I might build.

by Joe Abercrombie — I’m one book away from finishing everything in the first law universe. This is the penultimate book, and I’m savouring it.
What Researching and Learning
AI Agents
Looking in more detail into the application of AI agents in software development and delivery. I’m seeing more practical use cases emerging, and I’m trying to separate the hype from the real value these agents can provide.
Robotics and Humanoid Systems
Exploring the latest advancements in robotics, particularly humanoid systems like Boston Dynamics Atlas and Figure AI. I’m fascinated by the intersection of robotics and software, and I’m trying to understand how these technologies can evolve together. Currently pondering when we’ll see a humanoid robot that marries together the large world model capabilities that are advancing in AI with the physical capabilities I’ve seen demonstrated by some of the super dexterous hands being developed by companies like Shadow Robot and OpenAI.
